[ frank brings over a bottle of rose and two cups, smiling to himself at her rejoinder. liking people had never been high on his priority list, until it meant keeping people alive. this is what he's good at, like it or not, so yeah he's the mayor of horrortown. it's apropos when you really stop to think about it. thankfully, he never allows himself the luxury.

he works the cork out with his knife as he watches her with max. the second she comes to him, he rolls over and exposes his belly in a true sign of submission, but also as a clever ploy to get belly rubs. he takes the first sip from the bottle as he waits to watch elektra's reaction. ]

[Elektra isn't one not to reward trust since she's never given it. She looks surprised before immediately falling for his ploy. She starts off soft, but gets more generous after a few seconds her rubs and scratches.] You're not thinking of ripping my leg off at all. You're sweeter than your brothers.

[She coos at him before glancing at Frank, not pausing her positive attentions for a minute.] I'll take my drink now.

[oorah]

[ he brings over her cup, drinking from his while he walks and only pausing to hand it to her. ] Yes, ma'am. [ belated, but heartfelt in that gruff way of his. ]

[blacksky]

[Elektra plops down on the floor completely before accepting it. She claps on her thigh in invitation because yes she's decided she likes Max so he can chill with her now. It's that simple. She takes a sip and smiles in approval. This is heavenly after stealing Matt's terrible liquor.] Not bad. Finally I meet a man who doesn't have terrible taste in wine! You're full of surprises, aren't you?

[oorah]

[ he actually snorts at that, even while moving to sit crosslegged on the floor across from her like it's second nature. ] I have a friend to blame. She's something of a connoisseur.

[blacksky]

[She chuckles in response.] I should have known a woman set you straight. Now if only I could get Matthew to listen to me.

[Elektra lets out an exasperated sigh.] Everything he drinks is terrible. He even managed to find the one wine that didn't pair with Indian food. Do you have any idea how hard that is to do?

[oorah]

My brother's wife. She loves this shit. [ he shrugs, looking at the pink liquid before taking a long swig of his own. he's sure not surprised that matt doesn't listen though. not at all. ]

I've got less than any idea. But I'll take your word for it.

[blacksky]

[Elektra takes another sip, ruffling Max's fur fondly before pointing at Frank.] In that case, if your brother is anything like you, inform him he can never leave this woman. With taste like this I may have to marry her if she's on the market.

[oorah]

[ frank snorts, takinga nother long sip himself. ] He's nothing like me, but don't worry, he knows. He never would anyway, after what they've been through.

[ a beat as he reaches out to scratch max's flank with his free hand. ] You meet him yet? Micro.

[blacksky]

[She shakes her head, looking surprised he'd even suggest such a thing. Elektra's never been a popular woman.] No, but I'm not exactly going out of my way to meet people from our neighborhood. I have no idea what Matthew has said about me. I'm not exactly eager to find out either. I imagine it's somewhere between that crazy bitch and my dead ex-girlfriend who I basically murdered with my own two hands. Both roles don't suit me.

[oorah]

Actually, he just seemed... worried about you. [ he frowns ] And he didn't make it sound like an ex kinda worry either.

[ he'll get back to micro in a minute. it's not like he's going anywhere. ]

[blacksky]

[That actually surprises her even while knowing it makes perfect sense. He has no reason to turn on her. She died for him. It doesn't make it any plainer who she's truly loyal to when it comes down to it. She never expects good things to last so she figured whatever good will would be gone by now.]

You saw what I was raised into. I've done things to Matthew on his orders; cruel things. He would be right to decide he's still angry about that even after what happened on the roof.
